dou you know if submitting free images to sxc.hu helped your portfolios at the microstock sites? and if yes, how does one know?

I just liked to share. On the internet since 1998 it was a computer servicing / software knowledge, i was involved on various IT forums sharing information with other people, helping beginners and so on. Thus sharing images was for me just obvious and natural.
Altough giving images for free e.g at SXC.hu i started BEFORE selling at microstock sites.
So even if it wouldn’t give me anything i would still do it. I fell good that way and don’t care what some say about free images. Same as free code samples and any other free product. It has it’s purpose or is just given out of enjoyment.
BUT it can be used as part of SEO and i can tell that i use it that way. First it was pure SEO part for my various web pages and now also for advertising my microstock activities.
Can anyone find out if it helps? You can TRY to compare through various stats what brings people and what is happening with Your sales, You can monitor the traffic and trends. If You have a time and can associate pieces of information.
