Masuria – landscapes in blue

The past weekend was a great catch of landscape photography for me. I like the wide open space, water, tranquility of the Polish Masurian lakes.

Cloudy summer

I ‘ve got my camera and it was a great pleasure to shoot.  Especially the landscape photos are not so easy as they might look.  Many factors acts together like the sun light, clouds whiteness, water reflections and color, dark parts of the forest, ground and so on.

So it is a challenge to set up all the parameters in the camera as I shoot mostly with M (manual) setting and without the tripod yet.  I can now submit more to my photo stock accounts cause illustrations are very time consuming.
Photos I got from DSLR also need to be edited for microstock and it’s slight boring but expanding portfolio is worth it.

Some complicated illustration plus further processing can take days and adjusting the photo can take minutes. There are some exceptions when You need the picture badly and it won’t came out. At that time I just leave that work and take some other task to slow the brain and clear my mind. I have some photos I try to edit near 10 times and still nothing ;) thus I like these and probably will try again to correct.

Tip I can share is, if You like getting pictures with Your camera and You think You’re good with it but never tried to make own images public – join some photo stock site and You’ll see after few months that You were good, but You’re much better now. Even some free stock like SXC.hu. I can guarantee, but it needs work, a lot of work and the vision of what You really want to achieve.
